It all started during a sound check when Tommy and Glen played a few AC/DC songs and lighting technician Joel asked:
"Why don't you do this seriously?" That got him thinking and during the next tour break he started writing music.
A little later the project of Tommy Henriksen and Tommy Denander started.
The executive producer for the debut album was none other than the famous Mutt Lange, who even came out of retirement to work on Skully.
"He called me up and he said, ‘I think there’s something here.’ I couldn't believe it and actually started crying like a baby," says Tommy
"Every record I made before, I always wanted to sound like Mutt Lang."
These musicians include keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac, bassist Chris Wyse, guitarist Sam Bam Koltun and drummer Glen Sobel/Lisa (Tuesdai) Murgia.
Tommy not only relies on the well-known experienced musicians, he also gives young musicians a chance. For example, guitarists Anna Cara and Noah Polston play for Crossbone Skully.

If you listen closely, you will see that some famous people have lent their voices to the characters.
Johnny Depp - "The Evil Sorcerer"
Alice Cooper - "The Bringer of Light"
Joe Perry - "The Big Bad Bone Crusher"
Nikki Sixx - "The Crooked Crow"
Kane Roberts - "The Alpha Watchman"
The British artist Mark Wilkinson designed the album cover. His works are an intense and colorful mixture of reality and illusion, as can of course see in his skully pictures.
His album covers for Judas Prist and Iron Maiden are particularly well known. But he has also worked for Bon Jovi, Kylie Minogue and Peter Gabriel.
Joshua Werner has written down Skully's story in a comic called Thing #1. The comic is available in the store on the band's official website.
Here's the trailer for the comic

The complete album entitled "The Evil World Machine" will be released on November 22, fittingly enough.
This album features six tracks that have already been released as singles and conquered planet earth like never before. We Misfits are more than ready to finally hear the full album after years of support and excitement and cheer for our beloved Skully. The gigs at the Viper Room, which Johnny Depp once founded, are just the warm-up and we are more than ready to see Skully on stage in Europe one day.
