Prior to their concert in Rio in 2015, the Hollywood Vampires worked with the "Starkey Hearing Foundation" to enable over 200 children and adults to experience the gift of hearing. Also taking part were Duff Mckagan, Matt Sorum and Bruce Witkin, among others. 

The "Starkey Hearing Foundation" manufactures hearing aids together with its partner "GAES" and has set itself the task of training and advising patients and relatives. 

After being fitted with hearing aids, the recipients were taken to the "Rock In Rio Festival" to see the rock legends perform and enjoy the event with all their senses. Alice Cooper comments on this special moment as follows:

"For these people to hear for the first time in years, it's an amazing thing to see. Normally you give money, or you do a concert, but rarely do you get your hands in there and physically do it." 

Johnny added:

"Its an amazing opportunity for us to be able to experience something like this...to be able to give this gift that Dr. Bill has so generously created. To be able to help these kids, to be able to help these people is amazing."

In May 2016, as part of the "Rock In Rio Lisboa Concert", the Vampires once again helped over 30 people to open up the world of hearing because of this meaningful experience. On board were William F. Austin and Tani Austin, founders of the "Starkey Hearing Foundation", who expressed their gratitude for the event:

"It was another good day of people coming together to discover our humanity through caring. We had another great adventure with the Hollywood Vampires, and we appreciate their support."
