Am 10.05.2024 hat uns Better Noise Music mit einem neuen Song von Crossbone Skully beglückt. Tommy Henriksen stellt uns hier vor eine schwierige Wahl. Geld, Sex oder Gott - was würdest du wählen?
Tommy sagt, die Idee zum Song kam ihm während in einer TV-Show. Als es dort hieß, es gäbe drei Themen über die man im Leben nicht diskutieren sollte, "Finanzen, sexuelle Orientierung und Religion". Darauf hin hätte er den Text zum Song ungewöhnlich schnell zu Papier gebracht. Nun zu beantworten ist die Frage definitiv nicht so schnell...

On 10 May 2024, Better Noise Music delighted us with a new song by Crossbone Skully. Tommy Henriksen presents us with a difficult choice. Money, sex or God - which would you choose?
Tommy says the idea for the song came to him during a TV show... He wrote the lyrics to the song unusually quickly. Well, the question definitely can't be answered that quickly...
(Susanne - May 2024)“The song ‘Money, Sex, or God’ was inspired by a conversation I had while watching a tv show. On the show, they were saying everything always comes down to three things you should never talk about in life: financials, sexual preference, and religion. I immediately thought…well that’s easy…Money, $ex, or God. It was one of those songs where it rarely happens with me, that the lyrics just fell right out: ‘Pick your prize, what you gonna choose? / I bet you God, he’s gonna lose / But then…if it was up to me? You’re all gonna lose’… thank you, universe!” (Tommy Henriksen)
I´m the Wolf - 23. April 2024
Nachdem die Fans von Crossbone Skully den Song bereits auf der "Discord Weihnachtsfeier" kurz hören konnten, hatte "I´m the Wolf" nun seine YouTube Premiere und damit steht uns nun der vierte Song, des am 25.10.2024 erwarteten Debutalbum zur Verfügung.
Hier ist unser erster Eindruck:
Das Seltsame an diesem Song ist, dass er minimalistisch und kraftvoll zugleich ist. Beim ersten Hören könnte man denken, da muss doch noch etwas mehr kommen…, aber nein… es muss nicht!
Tommy Henriksen, der den Wolf selbst als sein Krafttier bezeichnet, predigt die wenigen Zeilen im Song wie ein selbstmotivierendes Mantra. Einzig Anna‘s wundervolles Gitarrensolo darf ihn unterbrechen. Mehr gibt es nicht zu sagen. Alles weitere wäre überflüssig.
Der Wolf gilt als grenzenlos loyal und stark. Er führt sein Rudel durch alle Gefahren und verteidigt die Familie bis zum Letzten, genau wie es Skully tut.

After fans of Crossbone Skully were able to listen to the song briefly at the "Discord Christmas Party", "I'm the Wolf" has now had its YouTube premiere. We now have the fourth song from the debut album, which is expected later this year.
Here is our first impression:
The unusual thing about this song is that it's minimalistic and powerful at the same time. At first listen, you might think there must be something more to it... but no... there doesn't have to be!
Tommy Henriksen, who calls the wolf his spirit animal, preaches the few lines in the song like a self-motivating mantra. Only Anna's wonderful guitar solo is allowed to interrupt him. There is nothing more to say. Anything more would be superfluous.
The wolf is considered to be boundlessly loyal and strong. He leads his pack through all dangers and defends the family to the last, just like Skully does.
By the way: Johnny's sword with the gonzo fist can also be seen in this video.

I'm Unbreakable feiert am 16.11.2023 Videopremiere und ist ab 17.11.2023 auf allen digitalen Streamingdiensten verfügbar. Tommy erklärt mit diesem Powersong, dass "Alles möglich ist" und Hass niemanden weiterbringt.
Übrigens das Schwert, dass Tommy im Video benutzt, hat er sich von Johnny Depp geliehen, der es einst von Hunter S. Thomsen bekommen hatte. Auch die Gitarre die Anna während des Videos spielt, gehört Johnny Depp.
Bis Ende Januar wurde der Song 100.000 mal allein auf Spotify gespielt.

"I'm Unbreakable" celebrates its video premiere on Nov 16, 2023 and will be available on all digital streaming services from Nov 17, 2023. With this power song, Tommy explains that "Everything is possible" and that hate won't get you anywhere.
The sword that Tommy uses in the video was borrowed from Johnny Depp, who once got it from Hunter S. Thomsen. The guitar that Anna plays during the video also belongs to Johnny Depp.
By the end of January, the song had been played 100,000 times on Spotify alone.

The Boom went the Boom - 6. Oktober 2023
The Boom war er erste Song überhaupt, der für das Album entstand. Am 6.10.2023 war es soweit während einer Radiosendung bei 95.5 Klos nach einem kleinen Interview von Marci Wiser mit Tommy wurde der Song "The Boom went the Boom" uraufgeführt und schaffte es gleich an Tag 1 auf Platz 2 der Heavy Metal iTunes Charts. Unterstützung für "The Boom" kommt von Phil Collen von Lef Leppard, der ein großartiges Solo besteuerte.
Wer es nicht erwarten konnte, hatte vor Hollywood Vampires Konzerten im Sommer die Chance "The Boom went the Boom" bereits zu hören. Am 13.10.2023 folgte das offizielle Video und am 29.10.2023 die erste physische Single.
