Some music
Jeff Beck
Jeff Beck has made 28 studio and live albums, 22 singles, 1 soundtrack album and much much more. So we'll just pick out a few tracks here that we either particularly like or that are somehow different.
During the tribute concert for Jeff Beck, his longtime colleague Rod Stewart sings the song "People get ready". The people in the audience are moved and some tears are wiped away. What would Jeff and Rod have thought if they had known about this touching moment already in 1983?
At the time, Rod had attended one of Jeff's concerts and the two decided it was time to record music together once again. (They previously played together in the Jeff Beck Group in the 1960s).
"People get ready" is a 1965 cover song by Curtis Mayfield.
It wasn't until two years later that the video was released. The sepia-toned, intimate-looking video is about two friends who arrange to meet at a small train station somewhere on the prairie. Jeff sets out on the long journey by freight train. All he has in his luggage is his beloved guitar. He makes music with various people along the way, radiating a deep relaxed contentment that leads to a happy reunion of the friend.
During the tribute concert, it is probably this contentment and confidence that people wish Jeff Beck for his last journey, just as it is actually sung about in "People get ready".

"The Nazz Are Blue" is one of the few songs in which Jeff Beck sings. It will be released on 07/15/1966 on the album "Roger the Engineer".
